Cookie Policy

This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage Window Savings uses, what they do, and how long they last.

Last updated: 11 July 2026. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them only to make the site work and to understand how visitors find us so we can measure our advertising. We do not use cookies to build profiles for unrelated third-party advertising.

Cookies we set

We set a small group of first-party marketing-attribution cookies, all named with the wml_ prefix. They record how you arrived at the site — the campaign values (such as UTM parameters) and advertising click identifiers (such as a Google gclid or a Meta click id) in the link you followed — so that if you go on to make an enquiry we can attribute it correctly. They are set when you land on the site and expire after 90 days.

CookiePurposeTypeExpiry
wml_utm_source, wml_utm_medium, wml_utm_campaign, wml_utm_term, wml_utm_content Store the campaign attribution (UTM) values from the link you arrived on. First-party 90 days
wml_gclid, wml_fbc, wml_fbp and other ad click ids Store advertising click identifiers so an enquiry can be attributed to the ad you clicked. First-party 90 days
wml_landing_url Remembers the first page you landed on, submitted with your enquiry. First-party 90 days

The same values may also be mirrored in your browser’s local storage under the same wml_ names, so attribution survives you moving around the site or returning later. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings.

Tag-manager and analytics cookies

We include a Google Tag Manager container in the site’s code, but it is currently switched off and sets no cookies. If we enable it in future to run analytics or advertising tags — which may set additional third-party cookies such as Google Analytics (_ga) or Meta (_fbp) cookies — we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before those cookies are set.

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and clear local storage the same way. The wml_ cookies are not strictly necessary for the site to display, so blocking them will not stop you browsing or making an enquiry — it only means we may not be able to attribute your visit to the campaign that brought you here.

In short: we set first-party wml_* cookies (90-day expiry) to remember how you found us. Analytics and advertising tags are off by default; if we turn them on, we’ll update this page first.
